Seeing as there are plenty of serious topics about pregnancy and premature baby's, I thought this post will have a fun twist to it. In two weeks time we have booked in for our 20 week anatomy scan and hopefully we will find out the sex of our baby! I find this a really fun scan (even though its a long scan) as you get to see your baby and how much they have grown over the last few months.
Hubby and I are happy with which ever sex our baby is, so long as they are healthy (so clichéd but its true). It would be nice to have a girl so that we can have one of each sex, and a boy would be great as I've always thought of having two boys and it also means Richie has someone to rough and tumble with (I'm sure he would still do that with a sister but not as rough hopefully :) ) We are feeling the expectations from many family members and friends as most are wanting the bub to be a girl, so I also wouldn't mind having a baby girl as I don't want them to be disappointed.
I'm also leaning towards the fact that I'm having a girl just because this pregnancy feels different from my pregnancy with Richie. This time around I didn't have morning sickness (I had it rough with Richie), I've noticed I'm growing differently( this pregnancy I'm more wide than with Richie) and my bump only started showing around 15 weeks during this pregnancy, whereas with Richie, I was starting to show at 12 weeks. I'm also more tired this time around, but that may have something to do with the fact that I have to run around after a 2 year old so I can't nap as much now.
Something new that has recently happened is super sensitive skin. I think its because of the weather and my hormones, but my skin is just dry and itchy, with rashes appearing (which is super annoying and frustrating!!). Anyone have any recommendations on a good moisturiser for sensitive, preggo lady skin??
So with all this in mind, lets play a game. I would also love to hear whether you think I'm having a boy or a girl?? Leave your answer in the comments section and we will see who is right!!
My name is Briana and I am a wife to Terry, a mother to ,my gorgeous 2 year old son Richie with another bub on the way.
